No, not at all. The Answer will only answer your calls when you do not. it will not initiate a call or do anything else with your phone line. |

What happens if the mains power fails? Do i lose the messages stored? |

No. All of your mesagges and settings are stored on a non-volatile Flash memory. The only thing you will need to do when the power comes back on is to set the clock. |

From what distance can The Answer understand my commands? |

This all depends on how much background noise is present. The ideal distance is a few feet, but on a quiet environment, you can easily have it listen to you from across the room. |
